It starts with reverse engineering your content. Kick this off with researching audience interest. Define 3-5 key topics that make your idea interesting and that your content will cover. 

There are many free content creation tools to help you in the process. Find out hot topics in your niche with Google, YouTube, Quora, Reddit, etc. research. Map out what type of content has the potential to hit the marks.

1. Keyword analysis
Use Keyword Planner to analyse which keywords perform the best for your brand and content. You can even sneak out what keywords your competitors use. Prefer long-tail keywords aka keyphrases as these nail user interest more precisely.
Stick to keywords that have a higher search volume and lower competition to maximise profitability.


2. Use autocomplete
Start typing in the search bar and see what Google suggests. Use the phrases that pop up at the top of search results in your content. In our case, it would be "marketing software for small business".


3. Try related searches
Pay attention to related searches. Google always shows you suggestions or related searches tab which is a good way to get more input for your content.
What can you take away from this regarding our case? For example, "best marketing software", "marketing software companies", or "people also searched for" could kick off an idea to create comparative content about marketing software out there.

Do the same as described in the previous paragraph on Google research.


2. Find outliers

Base on your niche search, find outliers aka videos that have performed 5-10x above the average views on a specific channel. Look at the titles and thumbnails of the outliers. Use these as inspiration and choose what suits your brand the best. 


3. Create a vision board
